Take flight and discover the breathtaking beauty of Australia from an entirely new perspective in Altitude 3,500 ft., an exhibition by award-winning photographer Ingrid Hendriksen. This mesmerizing collection of aerial photography captures the vastness and diversity of Australia’s terrain, from its rugged outback to the sweeping coastlines and bustling urban landscapes.
The exhibition features an extraordinary range of national and international award-winning images, offering viewers the chance to explore the country’s natural and man-made wonders from above. Hendriksen’s work celebrates both the abstract artistry of nature and the fine craft of aerial photography. Each image is carefully composed, showing the intricate patterns, textures, and colours that define Australia’s landscape, all seen from the unique vantage point of 3,500 feet in the sky.
From the dusty reds of the desert to the sparkling blues of the ocean, Hendriksen’s aerial photography transports visitors to new heights. The exhibition provides an immersive experience, drawing attention to the natural beauty of Australia’s diverse environments and inviting viewers to appreciate the artistry in the land’s design. Through her lens, ordinary landscapes are transformed into abstract works of art, challenging our perceptions of the world below.
Hendriksen’s journey into aerial photography is deeply rooted in her passion for nature, travel, and adventure. Originally from the Netherlands, Hendriksen moved to Australia in 1981 and quickly developed a love for the country’s unique landscapes. Her partnership with her pilot husband has allowed her to explore some of the most remote corners of Australia, as well as international destinations like the USA, Canada, Africa, and the Netherlands. The result is an exceptional collection of images that captures both the beauty and grandeur of these places from above.
With a diploma in applied photography and numerous prestigious awards under her belt, including multiple honors from the New York, Paris, and Tokyo Photography Awards, Hendriksen is recognized as a master of aerial photography. Her work in Altitude 3,500 ft. reflects her skill and dedication to capturing the world’s landscapes in their most stunning form.
